The Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced a recruitment drive for Airmen under Intake 02/2025, offering opportunities in the Medical Assistant Trade through a series of walk-in recruitment rallies scheduled between January 29 and February 5, 2025.
Recruitment Schedule:
- January 29-30, 2025: Candidates from all districts of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
- February 1-2, 2025: Candidates from all districts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and the Union Territories of Puducherry and Lakshadweep.
- February 4-5, 2025: Candidates holding Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy from all districts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and the Union Territories of Puducherry and Lakshadweep.
The recruitment rallies will commence at 6:00 AM at Maharaja's College Ground, PT Usha Road, Shenoys, Ernakulam, Kochi, Kerala-682011. Candidates must report by 10:00 AM on the respective dates.
Eligibility Criteria:
For 10+2 Candidates:
- Educational Qualification: Passed 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- Age Limit: Born between July 3, 2004, and July 3, 2008 (both dates inclusive).
For Pharmacy Candidates:
- Educational Qualification: Passed 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, along with a Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy with 50% aggregate marks. Valid registration from the State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India is mandatory at enrollment.
- Age Limit:
- Unmarried Candidates: Born between July 3, 2001, and July 3, 2006.
- Married Candidates: Born between July 3, 2001, and July 3, 2004.
Selection Process:
Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
- 1.6 km run to be completed within 7 minutes for candidates up to 21 years and 7 minutes 30 seconds for candidates above 21 years holding Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy.
- Completion of 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 20 squats within the stipulated time.
Written Test:
- Objective-type questions in English (20 questions) as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA) (30 questions).
- Duration: 45 minutes.
- Candidates must qualify in each paper separately.
Adaptability Test-II:
- Assesses the candidate's adaptability to the environment of the Indian Air Force and the military way of life.
Medical Examination:
- Conducted as per IAF medical standards, including baseline investigations like blood haemogram, urine RE/ME, biochemistry, radiograph chest (PA view), and ECG.
Important Notes:
- Candidates are advised to bring sports shoes and shorts/track pants for the Physical Fitness Test.
- The question paper for the written test is confidential and will not be provided to candidates after the examination.
